Sighing away a dream
Standing in front of the unfinished building she looked, with a tear in her eye. The bay window in front was to overlook the garden where the little one could play and she could watch from her kitchen. The dream of the gurgle and the sparkling laughter. It would all remain ,just a dream...

Weighty pleas!!
If he looked at it one more time, I'm sure a voice would have been heard
But today looked like the forces were against him. He had pleaded one last time..but alas! The needle refused to budge.
Watching in mute shock, the weighing machine just smirked

Kissed, oh! So tenderly!
Stark white, fresh green, dewy petals. Struggling to open.
The diluted rays of the morning sun
Sashaying across the sky
Leisurely, with no purpose
Sweeps down , planting a tender kiss
And the shy petals blush in wide surprise

Just as I was leaving....
The silence in the bedroom sent me into panic. The one-eyed teddy winked at me. I knew I ought to find him before it was too late.
One glance inside the kitchen I thought.
Just as I was leaving, I heard splashing sounds from the bathroom....one year old Arav gurgled from behind the toilet

Is it love?
He was inaugurating the new store. He had said 8 o'clock. She was breathless with excitement and love. She had worn his favourite color.
Few minutes more ,he would be home, to pick her up, so she switched on the television. Smiling bright and happily, on the screen she saw, he was cutting the red ribbon...

Pathless dreams
A smile that could lighten
The hearts and souls
The presence, the absence
Making it felt
The seconds ponder
The voices linger
Thoughts arise
And stand still
Dreams ride on a journey
Moving along paths
Parallel to their thoughts
And emotions across
Fulfilled ambitions
Soaring upto the skies
Seeking support
Clinging onto the other path
Weighing it down
Not letting it fly
One dream and the other
Watching it dissolve
Trying to reach out
But feeling just empty
Sparkles, where once
The bright light just shone by
The hearts and souls
The presence, the absence
Making it felt
The seconds ponder
The voices linger

And stand still

The clouds that ground you!
The mist that descends onto your face
The gurgle of the Teesta that flows by
The conifers that stand tall
Straining your neck as you look above
The peace that transcends
As one gets off onto the ground
Bringing to reality the green of the valley
The swish of the leaves as you pass by
The peaks dotted with snow
Keeping watch on those that traverse below
The white, the absoluteness that strikes
All around, like a sentinel in stride
The city with dreams, that is
Wreathed in the clouds, and puffs of snow
One view that takes your breath away
The view of the peak that stands highest
Gangtok, and the smiles
The rosy cheeks, the ice cold air
The maggi noodles, one can't ignore
Woolens, hot tea, snowflakes for all to treasure
The armed forces, brave and proud
Working relentlessly
Keeping our borders safe and secure
Conditions always being ignored
Keeping me grounded
Yet, continuing to dream
The chime of the bells
In the temples that pervade peace
This is the city, i'd love to always go
When my head's in the clouds
and the brain in storage
It will always be one of my favourite spots to be.
