In the eyes of honesty!
Doorbell rings
Later it seems
tired of staying up
snoozing along
Comes in when time
seems to wait for him
but never for her
always hanging in between
Decades of promises
Honest needs
never fulfilled
You've changed, he says
How so?, she asks
Silence hangs on
heavy with lies
Love, security
Presence and touch
All this and much more
Wished and yearned
she did..
Respect, trust
Love and warmth
None she received
Give she did.
